Activities
Office
This office sponsors many activities for the campus community. The
Activities Director serves as co-moderator of the Student Government
Association and the advisor of the University yearbook, Familogue.
The Activities Office facilitates the selection of student mentors
for the one-credit First-Year Experience course, a collaborative
program between Academic Affairs and Student Services. The activities

Athletics
Athletic programs are available on the intercollegiate and recreational
level for Holy Family students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Intercollegiate
sports for men include basketball, cross-country, golf, and soccer;
intercollegiate sports for women include basketball, cross-country,
soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Recreational opportunities
include the use of the state-of-the-art fitness center and weight
room, as well as basketball, soccer, and volleyball as intramural
activities.
Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry offers many opportunities to greet God within
ourselves and others by providing liturgies, prayer services, quiet
prayer time, scripture sharing, retreats, reconciliation, counseling,
and social justice activities. The Campus Ministry Office is located

Careers Center
The Careers Center provides career-related counseling to students
and alumni of Holy Family University. Information is available in
hard copy and on line about career choices, the job search, academic
majors, and graduate and professional schools. Job listings are
available in the Careers Center, on
line , and by e-mail to student and alumni subscribers. Job
fairs, on-campus recruitment, and special events are scheduled throughout
the academic calendar. State-of-the-art, computer-assisted career
guidance is also available to students. A credential file will be
established for any senior who registers for this service. The Career
Center is located in the Campus Center, Room 216-218. The Careers

Counseling Center
The Counseling Center is dedicated to helping students deal with
issues that might affect their academic performance and/or sense
of personal well-being. Professional staff members are available
by appointment to assist students with short-term, personal, and
vocational counseling and referral assistance. The Counseling Center
also offers support groups and workshops on a variety of topics,
including stress management, relations,communication, grief support,
etc. The Counseling Center is located in the Campus Center, Room

Dining Services
Dining Services oversees the Tiger Café, located in the
lower level of the Campus Center, as well as the Cub Café in
the lower level of the Education Technology Center. Both
are operated by Williamson Hospitality, a leader in leisure dining
and catering with over 60 years of experience standing behind their
commitment to quality, service, and uncompromising excellence. The
Tiger Café offers complete hot meals, a salad bar, cold-cut
sandwiches, soups, snacks, beverages, and desserts. Your
options in the Cub Café are light grab-and-go meals, snacks,
and beverages.
Disabilities
Services for Students
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)
and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Holy Family University
provides reasonable accommodations to otherwise qualified students.

Health Services
A registered nurse is on duty and can be reached by beeper from
any University office or through the University switchboard operator.
The nurse provides first aid, response to emergencies, nursing assessments,
blood pressure and weight determinations, pregnancy tests, consultation,
health insurance information for full-time and part-time students
of any age, and referrals to other Holy family offices or outside
agencies. The Health Services Center is located on the ground floor

Residence Life
The Residence Life program at Holy Family extends the learning experience
beyond the classroom to create a well-rounded education that fosters
a student's personal development. Two distinct residential-living
experiences are provided: a residence hall and independent apartments.

Security
The University maintains a 24-hour security service. In an emergency,
the Department of Public Safety can be reached via the University
operator (dial 0 on an internal, University phone, or dial 215-637-7700
off campus). When the switchboard is closed, security can be reached

267-341-3361. This service is for emergencies only, not
casual communication.
Special
Services
The Office of Special Services helps students, faculty, and staff
arrange meetings, conferences, and special events such as parties
and other activities related either to academics or leisure-time
pursuits. Please contact this office to reserve rooms and other
facilities for such activities.
The bookstore, the dining services department, and the company that
maintains the vending machines are independent contractors. The
Office of Special Services acts as a liaison between Holy family
University and these contractors. Students should bring any concerns
or questions about these contractors to the Office of Special Services.
The Office of Special Services helps place volunteers with local
agencies providing educational and social services. The Director
also serves as the moderator of the S.A.Y.S. (Students At Your Service)
organization, a student community-service organization supporting
on-campus activities and off-campus programs. It seeks students
to volunteer their time and share their gifts with others.
