Holy Family University Launches New Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis

Holy Family University is proud to announce the launch of its Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, offering two distinct pathways for students to advance their education and career prospects in this growing field. The innovative 4+1 program will welcome its first cohort in the summer, while the standalone master’s program will enroll its first students this fall.
The program will be offered through live synchronous instruction. Our live online early evening instruction is designed for busy professionals balancing work, family, and graduate studies. We offer real-time, high-quality learning with the flexibility to attend from home—reducing burnout, promoting well-being, and supporting program completion without compromising personal or professional commitments.
Beyond its flexible format, the new ABA program is designed to equip students with the skills and expertise needed to create meaningful, socially significant change in various professional settings, including schools, clinics, hospitals, and community-based organizations. Students will benefit from hands-on experience, expert mentoring, and a scholar-practitioner training model that integrates coursework with real-world application.
4+1 Accelerated Master’s Program: The 4+1 program allows undergraduate students to begin their graduate studies during their senior year, enabling them to earn both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis in just five years. This accelerated pathway not only saves students an estimated $10,000 in tuition but also provides a streamlined transition into the profession, with students gaining practical experience early in their academic journey. Eligible students apply during their junior year and complete four graduate courses in their senior year before transitioning to full-time graduate study.
Traditional Master’s Program: For those who have already completed an undergraduate degree, the traditional standalone Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis provides a comprehensive education in behavior analysis, preparing graduates to pursue Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) certification. Faculty members are experienced professionals dedicated to mentoring students and preparing them for impactful careers in behavior analysis.
Meeting a Growing Demand: With a nationwide 14% increase in demand for professionals with BCBA or BCBA-D certification from 2022 to 2023, Holy Family University’s new program is positioned to address this critical need. The program’s curriculum is aligned with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®) 6th Edition Task List and meets the requirements for ABAI® accreditation, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for certification and professional practice.
“Our mission is to cultivate a community of compassionate and competent behavioral practitioners who can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities,” said Dr. Katie Croce, Program Director. “With expert faculty, a collaborative learning environment, a focus on life-long mentorship, and a strong emphasis on real-world application, our students will be well-equipped to lead in the field of applied behavior analysis.”
Applications are now open for both the 4+1 and traditional master’s programs. Prospective students are encouraged to learn more and apply by visiting our website or contacting the Office of Graduate Admissions.
