Course Requirements (18 credits)

3 Required Courses (9 credits):

  • ENGL 207 Introduction to Literary Study (3 cr)
  • Two Literature of Place/Time courses (choose two):
    • ENGL 228 Non-Western Literature (3 cr)
    • ENGL 225 American Literature (3 cr)
    • ENGL 220 British Literature (3 cr)

3 Electives (9 credits):

  • At least one course at the 400 level
  • At least one course at the 300 level

Electives may include courses in technical writing, creative writing, podcasting and vlogging, journalism, literary publishing, and additional literature courses.

This minor is an excellent complement to any major, providing students with the analytical, research, and writing skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital and content-driven world.
