Domenic Vitiello, Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, will explore 1) what sanctuary and sanctuary cities mean; and 2) the history of sanctuary movements in Philadelphia and its suburbs since the 1980s. The talk is based on Prof. Vitiello’s book, The Sanctuary City, which is free to download from Cornell University Press.
