Facilities Projects

Holy Family University is currently undergoing a number of exciting facilities projects at our Northeast Philadelphia campus. Please check back frequently for the latest updates.

New Parking Policy Due to Planned Holy Family Hall Construction

Parking Assignments

  • Staff: All staff must park in the auxiliary lot (AUX) at 568 Bristol Pike in Bensalem. Staff may also park in the back row alongside the Holy Family property at St. Katherine’s if there is no event. Please check for signs.
  • Faculty: Faculty may only park in ETC (#2), Holy Family Hall (#3), Library (#4), and Alpha House (#5) lots. They may not park in Zones 2 or 3 (student parking).
  • Residents: Residential students may only park in Zone 3 lots which include Stevenson Lane Hall (#9), Delaney (#10), Pathway (#11) and the Garden Residence (#12). They may not park in Campus Center (#6).
  • Commuters (Non-Resident): Commuter students may park in the Campus Center (#6).
  • Contract Employees: Metz, Doyle and Follet employees must park in the Library (#4).
  • Marian Hall: Several staff that need daily access to their cars due to their roles may park in the Marian Hall (#1) including all VPs. These staff will be notified directly. The remaining spots can be used by authorized visitors.
  • Maintenance Vehicles: Maintenance staff must park their personal vehicles in the AUX and use maintenance vehicles for daily campus duties. These vehicles are allowed on campus during the day in designated spots and must be parked in the AUX at night.
  • Reserved and Handicap Parking: These spaces remain available and compliance will continue to be enforced by Public Safety.

Shuttle Service

  • Staff: To assist staff during peak hours, a shuttle will make continuous runs between the AUX lot and the Saint Joseph’s Hall shuttle stop from 6:30–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m. Staff may also take the shuttle that runs continuously throughout the day.
  • Students: A shuttle will operate every half hour, leaving the AUX at :20 and :50 past the hour for main campus. The shuttle will depart campus for the AUX lot at the top and bottom of the hour. Note this shuttle will also stop at the hotel. Please see shuttle schedule for more information.

Remote Work Option

Staff may work remotely up to two days per week with supervisor approval. All offices must remain open during regular business hours with onsite coverage five days a week.

Fieldhouse Update

With the construction of the new Field House alongside the SLR parking lot, a construction fence will be installed and equipment will begin to be staged in the area. The small parking lot will be closed during construction. Construction will primarily take place in the shaded areas. At times additional walkway and drive lane closures will be announced as utilities are run to the site. 

New Construction — Fieldhouse

The University has begun construction of the new Fieldhouse along side the SLR parking lot. The new Fieldhouse will be located where the picnic tables are currently. A portion of the small lot will be closed during construction. The majority of the construction will take place in the shaded areas. At times, additional walkway and drive lane closures will be announced as utilities are run to the site.

Please be alert for heavy machinery and large trucks in the areas during the day. Students, faculty, staff and campus visitors should be prepared for increased traffic and congestion on campus during peak times.

Construction Safety Tips

We ask for your heightened awareness as you travel around campus and to adhere to the following safety precautions:

  • Exercise caution when walking, biking or driving in the vicinity of construction sites
  • Obey construction signs and construction personnel providing direction through the work zones
  • Bikers and skateboarders should dismount in all construction zones
  • Keep in mind that trucks and other construction equipment may have limited visibility, and they can take longer to stop than other vehicles
  • Obey posted warnings and never go beyond construction fences, barriers or barrels
  • Be careful around heavy equipment. If you can’t see the driver, he/she can’t see you
  • Report any unsafe conditions or emergencies to Campus Safety at 267-341-3361
