Each time the Holy Family University women’s basketball team took the court in the Campus Center this past season, fans were able to see two second-generation basketball teammates make University history.
Dakota Schultice is the daughter of Holy Family University Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee Jim Schultice ’92, who played on the men’s basketball team, and Kelly (Carroll) Schultice ’92, who played on the women’s basketball team. “I was so excited to be able to play an official season at Holy Family since last season was canceled,” says Dakota Schultice. “I looked forward to finally playing on the court my mom and dad played on years ago!”
Schultice was not the only second-generation Holy Family University basketball player currently on the women’s basketball team. Ava Morrow is the daughter of Mark Morrow ’90, who played on the men’s basketball team, and Jennifer (Yeager) Morrow ’93, who played on the women’s basketball team. “I find it exciting that I get to play at where my parents played,” says Ava Morrow. “This school has been in my life ever since I was young so it is an amazing opportunity that I get to play for Holy Family University.”
