Learning Outcomes
The PPES degree will teach students how to:
- Articulate their own worldview
- Analyze complex local and global issues
- Conduct rigorous research and data analysis
- Inform how to improve the world around them
- Formulate and test hypotheses
- Communicate effectively and persuasively
Put simply, the PPES degree at Holy Family aims to achieve two outcomes:
- Create better citizens - fulfilling one of the traditional tenets of liberal education
- Build a toolkit of professional skills that will prepare graduates for a rapidly changing job market, adaptable for a variety of career tracks - fulfilling the needs of a modern (21st century) education
The PPES program requires the completion of:
- One introductory PPES course
- Two foundation courses in each of the four PPES disciplines
- Four interdisciplinary electives
- Two Statistics and Research Methods courses
- Internship
- Capstone
