Student Life
You've made it to college. Now, make the most of it.
One of the best parts of Holy Family University is our inclusive atmosphere--and that's not by chance. Our mission centers on creating an environment that is welcoming and encourages all members to get to know one another, learn from one another, and experience a range of perspectives and worldviews. Our diversity is what makes us a strong community.
We set out to ensure that your college experience is both memorable and positive. If our alumni are any indication, they return year after year to reconnect with friends, visit with former faculty, and find ways to stay engaged as a result of their own Holy Family experience.
It All Starts by Showing Up
Many students may feel uncertain about where to begin. Will they be accepted? Find their place? Fit in? The best way to address this is to join a shared experience. Whether it's heading to the ballpark for a Phillies game and Chickie's and Pete's, joining of of our many student-run clubs and organizations (or starting your own!), or perfecting your Frisbee toss on the lawn, there truly is something for everyone!
We <HEART> Our Commuters!
You don't have to live on campus to feel like you are part of the community. In fact, many of our students commute to campus each day. So whether you commute or live on campus, we encourage you to find a little time to get involved in something fun and rewarding. Do it to make new friends. Do it for some leadership experience on your resume. Or just do it because. We are certain you will find your niche with clubs and activities such as: eSports, student government, campus ministry, Folio, the University's national literary magazine, drama club, mini-THON, the campus newspaper, and more.
Service Opportunities
And did somebody say service? Every day is an opportunity to take part in service. Volunteer at a food bank. Renovate homes for Habitat for Humanity through our official college chapter. Help run our book drives, or assist with one of our community outreach partners.
From Sports to Study Abroad
Take part in club sports including baseball, cheerleading, dance team, or rugby or come out to support any of our 14 Division II Tiger teams, many of whom play on our brand-new turf field adjacent to the Stevenson Lane Residence.
In addition, each year we schedule HFU Abroad trips to countries like the UK, Peru, Japan, Ireland, Germany, and more. Travel abroad is a tremendous way to gain new perspective in a new culture--surrounded by your Holy Family family.
Campus Traditions and Spirit Programs
The Student Engagement Office teams up with many departments across campus to create and host annual large-scale programs to help students strengthen the feeling of “Tiger Pride
Student Government Association
Holy Family University's Student Government Association (SGA) is composed of full-time students. Representation through the elected student government allows students to plan and implement programs that are relevant and that meet the needs of the student body.
Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)
Registered Student Organizations provide students with the opportunity to develop their talents and pursue their interests.
