2020 Tigers on the Loose
“The worst of times must always summon the best in each of us,
because we are all connected to the oneness of the human family,
and we are all in this together.”
Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN, PhD,
President, Holy Family University
To protect the health of event attendees and our community from the spread of COVID-19, the difficult decision has been made to cancel Tigers on the Loose 2020, which was to be held on May 7 at the Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
However, fundraising continues to help make a Holy Family education accessible to all students. Due to the Coronavirus crisis, we anticipate an unprecedented increase in the financial aid need of our students. In the coming months, they and their families will rely on Holy Family more than ever before to help them continue their education.
Your generosity as a sponsor or donor will help secure the future for our students. Proceeds from Tigers on the Loose are used to provide scholarships that allow them, many the first in their families, to realize their dreams of being a teacher, scientist, entrepreneur, nurse, artist, or attorney.
To be a sponsor or donor, or for more information, please contact Joshua Liss, Assistant Vice President for Development, at 267-341-3100 or jliss@holyfamily.edu.
Building upon the past success of Holy Family University’s Scholarship Ball, Tigers on the Loose was first held in 2019 at the Museum of the American Revolution. This new fundraising event will change venues every year, giving attendees access to some of the most interesting cultural spots in Philadelphia.
Due to COVID-19, we could not gather on May 7 to celebrate Holy Family and our students at Tigers on the Loose 2020. We asked several students to share the impact scholarship support has on their lives. The generosity of our sponsors and donors sparks opportunity, hope, and achievement for Holy Family students by making an affordable, high quality education possible.
