Essentials of Perioperative Nursing Practice Certificate
The Essentials of Perioperative Nursing Practice Certificate course is offered to individuals who have interest in the field of Perioperative Nursing. With the ever-growing demand for specialty trained Perioperative nurses, our program offers this training to current Registered Nurses or senior level nursing students.
The 15-week certificate-based program offers didactic classes in person on the Newtown East Campus. Classes are held on Thursday evenings, 4:30 pm to 7:20 pm. There is also a practicum requirement with this course. We help to obtain a preceptor for the nurses at a designated OR site with a preceptor, or if you prefer, the nurses' may complete the clinical practicum at their place of employment (with written approval provided from the facility).

The Essentials in Perioperative Nursing course is designed to prepare individuals with the specialized skills to work in the ever-growing field of Perioperative Nursing. Classes offered: Spring, Summer*, Fall (Based on enrollment).

Enrolling students must be a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse or be a senior level nursing student.

- Tuition for the program for the 2024-2025 Academic year is $2900.00 (plus a onetime $130.00 general fee for new applicants)
- Students must complete the 80 hour precepted in the Operating room
- Students will exit the program with a Holy Family University Perioperative Certificate
