Neuroscience, B.A.
The Neuroscience major is an interdisciplinary program that is supported by our biology/natural science and psychology programs. The field of Neuroscience examines the structure and function of the nervous system, as well as the interaction between the nervous system and behavior.

Program Details
Neuroscience incorporates many subfields such as biology, chemistry, and psychology. A degree in Neuroscience provides students with a unique opportunity to have a strong interdisciplinary background highly valued by prospective employers and graduate programs.
The minor in Neuroscience will provide students with a foundation in this interdisciplinary field. Students will learn how components of the nervous system work together to coordinate physiological and cognitive functions. Students will gain an appreciation of the complex system and how changes in regulation can impact thoughts and actions.

The Biochemistry program is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, and physics and the appropriate tools to integrate these disciplines to understand the biochemical, physiological, and behavioral aspects of cells, tissues, and organisms.
Natural Sciences, Minor UG
The Minor in the Natural Sciences prepares the Holy Family student to think globally and will give the student the opportunity to experience and to explore the breadth of the Natural Sciences. Essential biological and chemical principles of nature will be presented as an interplay between chemical and physical Laws and their impact upon both living and nonliving systems. This minor is particularly useful for education majors who want to teach middle level science courses.

The Health Promotion and Wellness program prepares students to assume roles as wellness and health promotion professionals in private business, community organizations, and healthcare agencies.
