Assistant Professor of Biology

The School of Arts and Sciences at Holy Family University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Professor to join our Biology Department. We welcome applicants with a background in biology, though the specific area/concentration is open, there is a particular need for teaching courses in Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage students in active learning.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Teach undergraduate courses in Biology
  • Develop and maintain an active research program that engages undergraduate students.
  • Advise and mentor students, providing guidance on academic and career planning.
  • Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and assessment.
  • Contribute to the university’s mission through active participation in committees and university activities.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field is required by the start date. (ABD will be considered as long as the degree is conferred by the start date)
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
