Philosophy & Religion Adjunct Lecturers
The School of Arts and Sciences at Holy Family University is seeking a qualified adjunct instructors to teach within the following courses:
- PHIL-101-A Philosophy and the Good Life (MoWeFr 9:15am-10:15am)
- PHIL-101-C Philosophy and the Good Life (TuTh 8:00am-9:30am)
- PHIL-205-P Bioethics (Mo 6:30pm-9:30pm)
- PHIL-301-A Ethics (TuTh 1:15pm-2:45pm)
- RELS-104-C World Religions (MoWeFr 9:15am-10:15am)
- RELS-108-P Basics of Catholic Faith (Mo 6:30pm-9:30pm)
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in their related field, practical experience, and a passion for engaging and inspiring students. All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching of courses in their assigned disciplines
- Maintaining academic excellence in their classrooms
- Responding to email correspondence from deans, coordinators and students in a timely manner
- Providing grades and feedback to students in a timely fashion
- Active and timely use of Canvas, our LMS and CRM, our retention software for student learning and engagement
Qualifications
The successful applicant must hold an earned academic degree (doctoral or master’s level) in the discipline or a related field appropriate for the contracted teaching responsibilities.
